Gweru-Miss Bodylicious Zimbabwe is on the cards as the pageant is expected to elevate beauty in the African context on December 10 2021 at King Solomon Goldemile Hotel in Kwekwe, Post on Sunday has learnt.
Miss bodylicious pageant is an apt event which was launched in 2018 and it seek to engage and empower youths and models ,contributing to the organization’s goal of marketing brands and giving back to the community through its Cooperate Social Responsibility gesture.
It also provides a platform for creative designers to display their art and equal opportunities by giving models the stage to showcase their talents.
Over the past years, the engagement has managed to boost the visibility and promotion of various brand wears and products.
Speaking during an interview, Miss Bodylicious Zimbabwe Organiser, Mavis Koslek told Post On Sunday that it was important to give room to young women to showcase their beauty and talents as efforts to empower them.
“All is set for the Miss Bodylicious Zimbabwe Pageant which is expected to take place on the 10th of December here in gold town of Kwekwe. The main purpose of the event is to appreciate the curvaceousness of an African women and the young ladies who are making a difference in their lives and communities.
“We are looking for women who are young who are confident with their own skin and who love themselves. We also want participants who understand that beauty is not a measure of how skinny or big you are but that being curvy is part of being beautiful.
“Currently the reigning Miss Bodyilicious Zimbabwe is Amanda Vongai Shoko who graduated with a Banking and Finance Degree at Eastern Mediterranean University in Cyprus. She has done remarkable well by putting our nation on map through various initiatives .she has inspired a lot of young women across the globe through life changing projects as well.” Koslek added
15 contestants are expected to participate on the event ,with only three finalist being expected to win.
